Objects of beauty Figures of fun Fill the bars & clubs of this small incestuous town Where brothers & sisters are all taking turns with their future spouses meanwhile in view of the dancers Her body contorts in a manner that's taught on Top Of The Pops & in gentlemen's clubs In the shower room alone outlined in spotlighted view Her thighs grind to a synthetic beat Pirate eyes cry out for pieces of meat Her drenched white dress dictates you don't have to hazard a guess Her lustfully violent eyes are enough of a warning sign Elsewhere there's a young man In no dissimilar disguise This guy's guise beguiles misfortunate misled girls He handles her body like an animal desperate for food He says 'Let's find a crack house, let's get this party started' He swaggers & sways in a drunken cliche he's convinced is the way that musicians behave He karaoke lifestyle begs for belief He's consciously vain an unconscious disdain for the female brain is somehow betrayed in the way he sneers as she removes his hands from her hips His eyes follow her behind as he nudges his friend Objects of beauty & of desire become possessions Ownership, not love is the law As we smother each other with selfish demands & material objects These things become indistinguishable The petitioner sought a messy divorce The tail of blame of course was pinned to the horse's mouth Not the ass as would be appropriate He's had his day now she'll suffocate some unsuspecting creature, shallow & vain who will bend to her will without any pain Together they'll raise an army to bury his name Objects of beauty
